The Central Louisiana Community Advisory and Action Team (CAAT) is hosting a community CPR event in Pineville Louisiana, focusing on teaching parents, siblings, and grandparents how to perform hands-only CPR on infants and children, in efforts to better protect the children in our communities. This event is being conducted by volunteers throughout the CenLA community, including certified CPR instructors, nurses, pediatricians, EMS personnel, nursing college students and professors, parent educators, a managed care organization, and more. We plan to provide education and hands-on learning to registered participants during the event from 9 AM-12 PM on Saturday, October 1st at the Kees Park Community Center in Pineville, and will also be offering car seat safety checks and installations to those who need it, performed by certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians.
