Losses—big and small—are part of every person’s life journey. However, not every person knows how to deal with loss and grief in healthy ways. There are also times when, despite our best efforts, losses can feel overwhelming and we can get stuck in our grief. Join us and learn how to deal with life’s losses in adaptive healthy ways, helping you move forward from broken down in grief to breaking through towards a place of healing and hopefulness. Dr. Towns’ presentation will include an overview of grief and the types of losses, an exploration of how loss is impacting us mentally, physically, and spiritually, and she will also present a new grief model designed to help us move through the grieving process in healthier ways. The presentation will provide grief work activities for you to begin and include an opportunity for you to ask questions.
