BAAY is currently seeking volunteer teaching assistants for its after school enrichment program, EduArts, this Fall. EduArts focuses on making the arts more accessible to elementary students by conducting classes within the elementary schools. This program aims to provide educational and performance opportunities to Whatcom County's youth. Teaching Assistants are crucial to making this happen by helping to foster and support respect, cooperation, decision-making, self-discipline, and self-confidence in young people. Our program was founded in 2006, and currently offers classes in theatre, music, and art. If you are interested, please contact Tara at . Expected hours range from 1 to 5 depending on how many classes you would like to assist. Classes run MTWF 2:30pm - 3:30pm and Thursdays 12:45 - 2:30pm. Each class runs once a week until December, following the Bellingham School District Calendar for 'no school' days. TA position most often lead to paid lead teacher positions.
