Overview How to correctly set the bevel and sharpen chisels and plane blades. Use of 1" belt sander, stoning jigs and Work Sharp electric sharpener will be covered. Single and double bevel sharpening will be covered.  Please meet in the wood shop area by class start time. The class is limited to 10 total students. Students may bring a chisel to sharpen.  About the Instructor Glenn ([email protected]) has been working with wood and metal for over 40 years as a hobbyist.  He was trained as the gunsmith for the volunteer Living History Program at Sutter’s Fort State Historical Park in California. He used 1840s techniques to work metal and wood, and period techniques for sharpening. Since he discovered electricity, he has been an advocate of electric sharpening methods as well as manual ones. He likes puttering around and fooling with gadgets, some of which may even be useful. He likes sharp tools, as they are easier to use, more accurate and safer.
