Hola Amigos! Join us for a Spanish scavenger hunt at Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero! Attending students will work to solve clues given in Spanish describing an animal in the zoo. Students will follow the clues to visit the animals and have Spanish language exposure and practice along the way. This will be most fun for students that have brushed up on the Spanish color words and animal names. Our scavenger hunt will last about an hour but you are permitted to enjoy the zoo until closing at 4:00. Hope to see you there!Ticket prices are as follows: ages 0-2 Freeages 3-4 $5ages 5-11 $8ages 12 + $12Chaperones $12*Please note- if you are a member of the North County Spanish Club, you are already registered for this field trip. We encourage you to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value. Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration. **To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**Please read our refund policy! Refunds will not be given for any reason. As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip, please contact the teacher who planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you.* Families who are no-shows may lose access to future field trips.* May I pay using my student's planning amount? Yes! You can pay for your student's ticket and one chaperone ticket with your student's planning amount. There are two steps to purchase tickets for field trips with your student's planning amount. Step 1. Reserve your ticket on Eventbrite. Please select the "Student ticket ordered through Procurify" and or "Chaperone ticket ordered through Procurify" ticket options in Eventbrite. Complete the checkout process on Eventbrite. You will receive an email confirmation from Eventbrite once your order is complete. This is the first step in reserving your tickets. Immediately after you receive confirmation from Eventbrite you will move to step 2. Step 2. Place an order for your tickets in Procurify. Search the name of this field trip in the Procurify catalog and complete your order just like you would for any other order. Your spot on this field trip will not be confirmed until you have placed your order in Procurify. Failure to place an order in Procurify may result in your tickets being given to a family on our waitlist and or being removed from the attendee list and having your funds manually deducted. Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. What are the check-in procedures? We will be meeting at the entrance to the zoo. Check-in will begin at 12:45 and we will begin the scavenger hunt promptly at 1:00. Is there on-site parking available? Parking is free. Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Water is permitted inside the zoo. There are picnic tables at the park outside the zoo gates where snacks can be eaten. *Heartland does not provide transportation for any of our field trips.
