Join us for a fun, family-friendly workshop to decorate your very own savings jar! We know saving for a goal can be a challenge — for both kids and adults! — so we want to help make it fun for you with a personalized savings jar! The free crafting workshop begins at 9am on Saturday, October 8, at our Blairs Ferry Road branch. (Please come to the Business Center entrance on the SW side of the building.) We’ll wrap up when all the jars are done, but no later than 11:30am. Dropping your pocket change and a few dollars at a time into a jar can really add up, and it’s even more fun when your jar reflects your goals and personality. Saving for the holidays? Paint your jar red and green! Tucking away money to buy a house? Glue a picture of your dream home on the jar to remind you of your goal! Or you might deck out the jar with your name and other bling and use it over and over again as you meet your goals! When the time comes, you can withdraw the funds from the jar and put them toward your goal… or, if your goal is a big one, bring your jar to Linn Area Credit Union, deposit the money into your account, and start saving in the jar all over again! We’ll provide the jar and all the supplies… all you need is your creativity! (But if you want something specific, like a picture of your dream home, you’ll need to bring that!) While you bling out your jar, we’ll share some tips and tools to help you reach your savings goals. Space is limited, so reserve your spot(s) today!
