The 1871 Alumni Group is delighted to present the inaugural Sneaker Ball, where five (5) Honorees will be recognized for their outstanding work in your professional career and as an alumnus of Alcorn State University on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 7 o’clock in the evening at the Riverwalk Casino & Hotel in Vicksburg, Mississippi. It is an evening dedicated to charity, community and culture; an exclusive purple-tie event inspired by sneaker enthusiasts. The Sneaker Ball will include dinner, feature live entertainment and a disc jockey. The Sneaker Ball will commence BRAVECOMING 2022 and set the tone of a magnificent weekend for alumni of our beloved alma mater, Alcorn State University. The attire is cocktail or formal dresses for women and suits for men along with - of course - sneakers. A portion of the funds raised from this premiere event will be presented and donated to the University to support scholarships. This event is not associated with nor sponsored by the University. There will be an on-field check presentation of the proceeds!
