Duchess was a stray, found wandering the South FL streets alone; most likely used for breeding and then discarded like unwanted trash. She was unkempt and hard to handle when she first came through our doors. But now, with love, patience and consistent training she has really flowered into a wonderful pup. Dutch is a 1.8-year-old terrier mix, weighing in at about 50lb. She comes spayed, vaccinated, and vetted. Duchess loves all people, be they small or large, friend or stranger; but is selectively friendly with other dogs. Introduction to other animals will require time, patience and repeated exposure. We do believe she can be trained to cohabitate with other 4 leggers in the house. Duchess is house trained, rides well in a car, knows some basic commands, and is learning leash etiquette. She does NOT dig up your yard, NOR excessively bark; but she does enjoy chew toys and tug of war. She has a very sweet demeanor, and loves to run, play and snuggle with you on the couch. Dutch would make a great companion for a family with kids, or pretty much anyone with a sofa! Home checks are required. Please do not contact if you are not willing to allow a home visit.
