Since 2016, the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation have participated in Protecting Houses of Worship (PHOW) events across the country. These sessions bring top experts with current, critical safety and security information that will help faith-based organizations protect the people they serve.
MN InfraGard Member Alliance has hosted PHOW sessions in the past, and is proud to sponsor a special Faith & Blue: Protecting Houses of Worship event on October 7, 9:30-noon at the Hennepin County Ridgedale Library.
This multi-faith event is free and open to anyone who has a role in providing safe and secure worship environments, religious events and faith-focused community activities.

What the event will include:
An FBI Special Agent briefing on what's known from analysis of past violent attacks and an introduction to threat assessments,A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Protective Security Advisor review of security best practices, site-based plans and programs, and grant funding options A practitioner's perspective with "how to" implementation tips and lessons learned from the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) Director of Community SecurityA 30-minute moderated question and answer session will follow the presentations. Attendees will receive a list of additional resources and information to help create, implement and enhance a faith-based preparedness program.
