Please join Mettle Ops in hosting the First Bret Bigelow Foundation Annual Fundraiser on November 1st.
For those who are not aware, we started a nonprofit in honor of Mark and Katie’s son, Bret, who passed away in 2013. He had a plethora of health problems and was in and out of hospitals his entire life. When he was in the hospitals, the staff would give him a bed gown which wasn’t functioning properly based on the care he needed. As a result, Katie would make these custom pajamas so Bret could be comfortable and warm while he was in the hospital. Mark and Katie want to bring these pajamas to kids like Bret who are terminally or chronically ill and need something better than a bed gown.
All the money raised at the fundraiser will be used to make pajamas for children in Metro Detroit hospitals. The pajamas will be given to children who are continually in and out of hospitals, not for children who are making a one time visit. These children, like Bret, need constant care and medical attention.
We will have food, drinks, and good times! Mettle Ops has donated 3D printed Christmas ornaments to purchase. There will be a pajama naming contest as well!
Please help us support children in our local hospitals.
