Paid gig for drummer & vocalist: early U2 tribute

Seeing who's out there to do a one-off/one-time gig on 11.11.22 (November 11), a Friday night at a venue in Bay Park, here in San Diego, performing select songs, most of which you've probably not heard before, of what can be termed U2’s ‘1978/79 cartoon-punk era’ to their more serious Boy tour-October tour era. The pay is $200 each per performer. Guitarist and Bassist already on board. The intent with doing this gig is as a creative historical-academic appreciation of a very unique special time of U2’s evolution, with a fitting cool humorousness/comicalness in the delivery, in just enough of the right ways,… not overdone. I Will Follow (2nd encore,… last song) Character and attitudinal description {and yes, it’s trippy, but very doable with the right understanding and interest}: The idea with this gig-project is a sort of hybrid retro-tiki-oasis-cartoon-surf-rockabilly-western imagery and manner with a 1970's/early80's punk/new-wave element, early SoCaL thrash metal (really, and yes, the 2nd photograph is Mustaine-era Metallica),… performing just 1978/79-1981/82 U2 of select songs and renditions. The idea is hybrid-campyness, in a way that works, so that people 'trip' on it. And, you gotta have an interesting vibe and image that fits with well enough with this, with keen interest,…. if this is going to happen. This is about how you project and perform. It's a contrived art,… from the heart.
