I need help with packing a 2-bedroom apartment for a local move to happen at the end of the month/week. My ideal assistant will have their own transportation, and no allergies to dog fur/ dander or tobacco smoke. No longer have dogs, but did previously.
This position will be 18-22 hours over 3 days, primarily packing. If it finishes up early, we'll switch to a little light cleaning in the apartment (sweeping, wiping down counters, etc). No inspection, just don't want to leave a mess.
Hours on first day are from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, and then 8 hours each day on Thursday and Friday. Times can be flexible so long as everything gets accomplished. I would appreciate meeting my helper for a short period Tuesday evening after 5 pm, to go over the task(s) and scheduling. All packing materials and cleaning supplies will be provided by me.
update: A lot of people seem to be misunderstanding this post. I'm not looking for someone to load or unload boxes into a moving truck for me. I already have a moving company I'm hiring for that. I need another pair of hands to help me pack stuff into the boxes, tape them up, and label them with colored stickers. I'm willing to negotiate the price and times for the right person.
If you respond, please give me a little more info about when you're available, any questions you have, and a name to refer to you by. I've gotten responses that are literally just phone numbers, no name. I'd honestly rather talk via e-mail than call until I decide on the right person.
