WEYMOUTH, MA — The Massachusetts House and Senate agreed on a $16.5 billion transportation funding bill early Wednesday morning, which would provide $9 million for projects in Sharon. The bill, which was passed almost unanimously following a session that lasted until after 4 a.m., now heads to Gov. Charlie Baker's desk for approval. The bill would provide funding for the following projects in Weymouth, not including funding for improvements along Route 3A and adjacent roadways: $1 million for improvements to Jackson Square$5 million for improvements to the Route 3A Bridge St. corridor$2 million for the installation of crosswalk safety signals and pedestrian safety improvements for Weymouth Public Schools$1 million for improvements to Ralph Talbot St.
