A Restoration Technician is able to respond in a timely manner to complete all phases of a mitigation job. Due to the nature of the work, job sites can be challenging. This work can often include accessing tight spaces such as attics and crawlspaces. This is hard work, but also fun and rewarding. A good attitude, professionalism, and a desire to help people are keys to your success in this job. Duties: The Restoration Technician’s role is to perform restoration work as assigned by the supervisor which may include, but is not limited to, the following duties: Water Damage Duties: • Water extraction and removal of water-damaged materials. • Follow written procedures for emergency services. • Move affected contents/ furniture • Set up and monitor drying equipment and containment barriers. • Application of antimicrobial products. • Keep the job sites clean and professional. Mold Mitigation Duties: • Treat and scrub all visible mold as necessary and paint over the treated area with an anti-microbial primer/sealer • Complete repairs on roofs, attics, and in crawlspaces to prevent future mold growth o Installing vents, vapor barrier, baffles, insulation, bath fan ducting, HVAC ducting, etc. • Extensive cleaning of the interior of homes that have been affected by mold including o HEPA vacuuming, wiping of walls and surface areas with anti-microbial enzyme o Fogging enzyme throughout space o Pre- and post-mitigation testing to ensure completion of work General Duties: • Being available for routine on-call rotational emergency services and after-hours work. • To participate in demolition, remediation, cleaning, packing, moving, and being responsible for maintaining a clean and safe job site. • Following written production procedures. • Daily completion and tracking of job paperwork. • Maintenance and cleaning of equipment. • Vehicle general maintenance and cleaning.
