looking for a guitar player into instrumental surf music like the astronauts, the ventures, the chantays, the pyramids, the trashwomen, the phantom surfers, eddie and the showmen, the finks, surfer joe, jon and the nightriders, the bel-airs, the sentinels…if you get it you get it! lotsa reverb, guitars with a trem that doesn’t lock or even stay in tune that well, 60s vibe and influence are important in the approach as well as the gear used. not being too precious about playing everything “as it was” is also part of the deal, while covers are important, a punk sorta approach is essential, had a guy but he can’t commit so need a new jerk to fill them shoes just to be clear, a skateboarder is preferred (or maybe a former skateboarder?) as this project is “skate music” as opposed to “surf music” but if you got the chops and can deal with the goofiness of that sorta gimmick… ok, male or female doesn’t matter, age doesn’t either although we are all at least 50 so if you don’t wanna play with a bunch of older weirdos then this isn’t the place to be, but if you’re into having fun and playing some shows lemme know!
