Guitarist looking to form a Jam Band

Description

Maybe you were in bands when you were younger. But then you got a job. Life got busy. You moved to the suburbs. And suddenly it was hard to find people to jam with. You search on Craigslist every now and then, but it's full of city-folk who are looking to make it as a rock star and go on tour. You don't want to give up your career, and can only practice on nights and weekends. You just want to play music with some like-minded people who are into the same music you're into. Sound like you? I play guitar and am looking to get a group of casual musicians who like My Morning Jacket, Phish, Pink Floyd, etc. We can play a mix of modern and classic rock songs for fun as well. Ideally everybody brings one song to the group each week and we all learn it, so everybody is represented. It doesn't matter if we're good, or can't sing, because we're getting the satisfaction of when everybody gels together in a long jam and sees where it takes us. Not looking to gig, just to have fun and learn new techniques from each other. Hoping to practice once a week or every two weeks as schedules allow. I have a handle on a few practices spaces around the North Shore in Northbrook, Northfield, etc. and open to new spots if you know a place or have a house large enough to accommodate a group (perhaps you're a drummer who has a basement space).
