A traffic data collection firm is currently looking for "Traffic Equipment Installer" applicants.
Please note that this is for a part-time/contractor position (1099).
Description of work:
This position consists of learning and installing cameras and roadway equipment in the field on an “as needed basis”. Most cases involve installing temporary cameras at corners of intersections and installing road tubing on the street to record vehicle volumes. Applicants must be able and willing to lift up to 50 lbs. Related field experience is a plus; however, we do provide all necessary training. Thorough training will be provided for all study types and company equipment.
This job requires travel to the areas around Space coast and Melbourne area. Applicants must have an open schedule to accommodate weekday, daytime, nighttime or mixed work assignments after 6pm. Pay is based on the project site location and the type of work being performed. This position is great for someone without many schedule restrictions looking to make extra income.
Typical compensation will be the following:
Cameras: $18 to $25 per unit
Roadway tubes: $17 to $22 per location
*Note that this can vary depending on the project and travel distance (mileage is reimbursed at 38 cents per mile).
Excellent communication skills are critical to the success of this position.

- PC Laptop (company can provide it)
- Safe area to store and charge equipment when not in use
- Vehicle (Truck or Minivan)
- Company provides weekly mileage reimbursement
