Launching in Fall of 2022 is MOCA Jacksonville's Supper Club series, which will present exclusive and immersive experiences highlighting community, culture, food, and art.
The first Supper Club, Venetian Delights, transports guests to the City of Water, without having to leave Jacksonville. One of the most desirable destinations in the world, Venice is known for both its history in the arts and its place in contemporary art with the Venice Biennale. A creative hub for centuries, the city serves fresh and inspiring dishes often enjoyed al fresco next to the soothing lap of the canals.
On the evening of October 13, join MOCA Jacksonville for a Venice-inspired event featuring a multi-course dinner and wine pairings. Chef Shantrell of SoulFULL Eats will provide a cultural background and explanation of each dish, and the wine pairings will be hand-selected to showcase varietals from that region of the world and accompany the tasting notes of the cuisine served.
After the meal, guests are invited to enjoy an Ideas of Our Time lecture with MOCA Jacksonville’s Senior Curator Ylva Rouse and Director of Education Matthew Patterson, as they discuss one of the largest and most important contemporary visual art exhibitions in the world, the Venice Biennale. Get exclusive insight into this year’s spectacular Biennale artists and review trends in contemporary ideas and art around the world.
