Description
The production helper is responsible for assisting with the manufacturing process in the facilities. This position requires regular communication and exceptional teamwork with fellow coworkers to ensure production is met. The production helper is expected to assist the Machine Operator run the machine by loading and unloading material and product to and from the machine; tie or strap down finished product and assist with other general duties as assigned. Essential Job Responsibilities: • Assist with the production line in the facility. • Maintain a clean and orderly production area. • Load and unload material from machines, carts, and dollies manually or by use of equipment, such as forklift or overhead crane. • Feed or place material onto equipment for processing. • Pull damaged or ineffective equipment off the line. • Remove product from machine and place on cart or dollies. • Tie and/or strap down finished product for shipping and receiving. • Remove waste material from the machine. • Communicates with supervisor, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments. • Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment. • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations. • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Referral program • Vision insurance Qualifications: • Following are the skills, experience, education and related course work typically required or expected to perform the essential job functions: • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a general helper/laborer. • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a production, manufacturing, or industrial facility. • Must be able to use forklift and overhead crane. • Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job. • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
