Join us for an hour-long workshop about techniques for managing anxiety. Bob and Nan will lead this class in breathwork, somatic movement, and meditation to tone the nervous system. These exercises are designed to tap into our innate wisdom of the nervous system. During the hour we will cover: A Breathwork PracticeLight Somatic MovementGuided Mindfulness MeditationVoluntary Share of ExperiencesThese gentle practices are designed for any physical capability, age, or energy level. There are cushioned training mats that we will work on but you may want to bring additional support: A cushion to sit on for meditation.A water bottle.A notebook and pen.Join us to rediscover your inner peace that allows us to be calm in the midst of a high-speed world. Important Note: Breathwork and mindfulness meditation has been known to have the benefits of improved concentration, stress reduction, and management of mild symptoms for pain, headaches, depression, anxiety, or gastrointestinal discomfort. These exercises designed for the nervous system may bring forth memories, emotions, experiences that may be uncomfortable. Some people may experience changes in their sleep or dreams. Seek counseling assistance if you are having negative or distressful reactions. If you are in treatment, consult with your mental health or medical provider before taking this class.
