Hand Tools 101: Intro to Woodworking

Taught by master craftsman Russ Russell, this class is designed for a parent and child (ages 8+) to work together. You will learn the basics of using a power drill, a shortcut hand saw, screwdrivers, a tape measure, a hammer, and nails to build your very own wooden toolbox to keep! Supplies for this workshop are provided by Architectural Surfaces, LLC - thank you for supporting our work in our community! This is a free event, but space is limited to 6 family pairs (1 adult and 1 child); you must be a library patron in good standing (no late fees or overdue books). TICKETS ARE REQUIRED AND CAN ONLY BE PICKED UP AT THE SODDY-DAISY COMMUNITY LIBRARY - Eventbrite tickets will not be available. Tickets require a $1 deposit for each ticket. Your $1/per ticket will be refunded when presented at check-in for the event. No refunds will be given at any other time. This method helps insure attendance.
