I bought this from Home Depot when I moved for our small, spoiled, 12 year old husky. I paid about $120 for it. But just about a month later, my landlord dumped his not even one year old dog with 7 puppies onto the back of the property here. She was skin and bones weighing about 45 pounds. To make what is a sort of long story short, a couple months later, I made her my dog. She now weighs 110 pounds! So we had to order the super largest dog door I could find directly from Ideal Pets. (I ordered from Amazon 4 times and my order kept getting tagged undeliverable/damaged!) This pet door is made with Tempered Glass. It has the solid plastic latching panel that goes in place to keep pets in or out. The short panel at the top is spring loaded so the height is adjustable to your door frame. Then knobs on the inside lock it into place. There is a magnetic strip across the bottom of the clear rubber flap that "closes" the flap after your pet and keeps it from blowing open. The fuzzy sliding glass door bumper strip is in place, as well as the black rubber strip that I put on thinking it was supposed to cover where the sliding glass door contacts the dog door, which it does. I tried to show that in the pictures. Then I figured out that the rubber strip is supposed to go on the back edge of the sliding glass door like a sweep against the stationary glass to keep the outside air out. But rather than pull it off, I just ordered a roll of a better/wider rubber peel and stick strip from Amazon. This dog door is in very nice clean condition. The pictures pretty much show the clean gently used only a few (4) months condition of this.
