Need a guy to help me prep a house. The body of the house is in perfect shape, no prep needed. Trim needs to be scraped. I’ve come across 4 types of guys when hiring on Craigslist. 1. Guys who say they have skills and experience, but don’t. 2. Guys who say they have skills and experience, and actually do. 3. Guys with no experience, but would like to learn and be mentored 4. Guys with no experience who just want to try their best, with no future intentions/expectations. I am open to hearing from all 4 types. However, if you DO have experience and skills, you’re going to need a ‘prove it’ day to show me what you can do. If no experience, that’s completely fine. Just give me a background of what you have done in the past, what your short term plans are. I need help with this gig because I’ve had someone else call out. Generally I have way more work than I can handle myself, so if you show me something good on this one, I’ll likely have more work for you. I’ve learned to quell my expectations a bit over time. I’ve funneled it down to the basics. Try your best. Have a tolerable personality. True to your word. Open ears. No babysitting required.
