Jenner Fox-- River Guide, Storyteller, and Songwriter – to Perform
He guides people on whitewater rafting trips in the Pacific Northwest. He sometimes travels to music gigs via bicycle. And he weaves the stories of the people he meets on his adventures into original memorable emotional songs.
Columbus folk music fans will experience the versatile range of troubadour Jenner Fox on Friday October 28, as he performs in the latest concert series offering sponsored by the Columbus Folk Music Society. As an emerging singer/songwriter on the national scene, he’s earned rave reviews from music critics. One noted Jenner’s uniqueness as “the rare artist who comes along and doesn’t sound like anybody else.”
Jenner will take the stage just after 8 pm at the Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Avenue. But the crowd is encouraged to come earlier for even more musical fun. At 6 pm, there’s a jam, where instrumentalists and singers alike can join together or simply just listen. At 7 pm, 3 open mic acts will perform, and at 7:45, the audience is invited to sing along to some well-known songs of the modern folk music revival.
Admission is by donation, a suggested $15 per person, $10 for CFMS members.
