Description

I'm an elderly female veteran that's on a low, fixed income, so can't afford to pay much for moving labor. However, I desperately need two strong people to help me move the big, bulky and heavier items. I have reserved a Uhaul pickup truck, but still need someone to provide the labor. This consists of just carrying a sectional couch, a small chest freezer, a small dining room table & four chairs, a 5-6 ft. long cadenza, a queen sized mattress w/ box springs, and possibly 3 large totes of holiday decor and a 4-5 ft. long tv entertainment table down a flight of steps, load them into the truck, drive 3.3 miles and then unload the items. The only heavy items are the couch, mattress w/ box springs and possibly the chest freezer. The other items are simply too bulky for me to carry down a flight of steps. The unloading is simply a matter of hauling the items to the service elevator located near the entrance of the building, going up one floor and then placing the furniture in the apartment that's located next to the service elevator. Altogether, this should only entail 1-2 trips between apartments, so should only take up about an hour of your time. Sorry, but I can only afford to pay a flat rate of $20- $30 per person. But if you're interested in making a little extra cash or just want to help a veteran or senior citIzen out of a tight spot on Friday, September 30, 2022, then please call me ( Penny) no later than Wednesday, September 28 th.
