Bass player in Astoria looking for other musicians (guitar, drums, keyboards, also singers) to write and perform songs with (some jamming OK, too). Rough demos at soundcloud.com/broken-beater. I’m in my 40s and work a regular Monday to Friday job. Influences and interests vary widely but are mostly indie, noise, postpunk, etc: Sonic Youth, Battles, PJ Harvey, the Fall, Faust, Devo, Led Zeppelin, the Cure, Blur, Slint, Yard Act, Relaxed Muscle, Wire, Prinzhorn Dance School, Shellac. Arty, clever, thoughtful. Newer groups that I like but don’t necessarily sound like: the Walkmen, Animal Collective, St. Vincent, Lana Del Rey, Beach House, and so on.
