Title: Participants needed for Concussion Research
Researchers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst are conducting research on concussion recovery and persistent concussion symptoms. Participation will include two 45-minute sessions during which you will complete questionnaires about your head injury, thoughts you have about concussions, psychological symptom questionnaires, memory, and fine motor tests. Between the two sessions you will be asked to use a pedometer application to log your level of physical activity. To be eligible to participate, you must:
1. Be a college/university student at least 18 years or older
2. Have sustained a concussion at least 3 months ago
3. Have no history of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disability, or moderate/severe TBI
4. Sustained a concussion due to assault or domestic violence
You will be compensated $25 for completing the two study sessions or $12 for completing the first study session. Study session 1 can be completed online or in-person. Your second session will be completed in-person at UMass Amherst (free parking provided).
