Newsome signed on another green policy, shoved down Californians throat and paid for by our tax dollars. Mandated banning sale of gas vehicles in state after 2035. Currently Newsome and CARB have required all owners of diesel trucks and buses over 11,000 GVWR must be 2010 or newer. Owners of these vehicles must get rid of their vehicles and purchase a 2010 or newer. In our case, we have a 2005 medium duty dump truck that only has 80,000 miles on it. We are forced to get rid of it, and purchase another for approximately $100,000. But Newsome has another bill in the works, that all semi trucks, medium size trucks and buses which use diesel cannot be used in California after 2040. So does this make any sense? He and CARB are forcing us to get rid of our 2005 truck, forcing us to purchase another newer truck, that we can only use until 2040. I think we all understand that it is the taxpayer and consumer that is going to pay the price for this insanity. Semi truckers in 2040 will simply not deliver goods to California. Newsome says he wants to see all vehicles, airplanes etc to be electric by 2040. Ironically, all these green batteries, solar panels etc, manufactured in China, who is the main polluter of the world, which affects the U.S. Mining for minerals used in batteries is destroying the eco system. Why would Newsome enforce this type of insanity which is supplied by China, who is main world polluter, Your correct, these politicians and elites certainly look like they not only are in bed with China, but also are filling their pockets with this green scam. Do not be a sheep and buy into this. If California wants to be the "first" in the green scam, then put a policy in place that not one battery, not one EV should be from China. I think we will find that fossil fuels are not our enemy.
