Description

We’re a Minneapolis recording project called "The Get Together" reaching out to guitarists / multi-instrumentalists who are into modern Psychedelic/ R&B. We've been featured on the Current and play venues like 7th Street, Turf Club and other local staples. The nature of the project is atypical: Songs are written and recorded prior to band rehearsals and the group meets to work out a live set. Jamming happens as well for sure, but the primary concern of the project is to work on a live set for the recorded tracks. Everyone learns parts via stems and can play them through before we meet to rehearse - this lets a group of skilled musicians be very efficient with their time - but it only works if everyone comes practiced and prepared. We all have a shared love for music tech, especially when it lets us make cool sounds and give live performances we couldn’t pull off otherwise. Ability to sing backup is a definite plus, but above all else we are looking for a musician with a shared taste in music who we can depend on in practice and at shows. We currently rehearse weekly and gig monthly. All members are also mid-20’s/ early 30’s.
