Guests choose a bowl - handmade and donated by local potters - and enjoy a meal of soup & bread with friends and guests. The souvenir bowls are theirs to take home as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. In addition, there is a raffle of artwork donated by local artists and additional bowls available for purchase. 100% of the proceeds go to the Harbor Dish. The Harbor Dish, is a non-profit, volunteer based, Community Mobile Café located in Safety Harbor FL. Our mission is to increase food security and build community in the area in which we live. Our patrons “pay-what you can” for our delicious meals and “paying it forward “ for someone else in need. We serve the economically disadvantaged , the working poor, veterans, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, at-risk youth and others in need within our community. www.harbordish.org Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger, personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level. The money raised is donated to soup kitchens, food banks and other organizations fighting hunger locally. www.emptybowls.com Empty Bowls Pinellas is the local chapter of the Empty Bowls international initiative which was established six years ago focusing on the very same mission of reducing hunger in our local community.
