The goal of this workshop is to create a safe and grounded space to explore the connection between physical and subtle bodies through writing and yoga. We will utilize yoga asana (physical postures and movement), a variety of other somatic practices including guided mindfulness, accessible breath-work, and sound healing techniques, to illuminate the physical and subtle body relationship. In connection with these somatic experiences, we will have space for generative writing, creative body mapping, and reflection. Take what you need, leave the rest. Yoga reminds us that we are whole as we are and the tools to heal ourselves already exist within. Somatic practices allow us to tap into the knowledge and medicine each of us possess. We hope you leave with new tools that welcome more ease, contentment and health into your life, and that you gain deeper insight into your personal practice.
