For the first time, the Royal Gorge Philharmonic comes to Colorado Springs for a first-time performance of last year’s sold-out concert; an original Oratorio for Chorus, Orchestra, Organ and Soloists. This is a one-hour choral work with descriptive narration throughout from numerous texts predicting the birth of Jesus Christ; English translation includes quotes from the Bible, Dead Sea Scrolls and the Book of Mormon. Chorus members include 70 singers from the Cadet Choir of The United States Air Force Academy. Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church. Soloists Katherine Adam-Johnson, Amalia Dobbins, Nick Bailey and James Sena reprise their solo performances in this unique scripture presentation. A musical journey of texts dating from 2700 B.C.
