Food Is Health Community Conversation will be an opportunity for community members to participate in various workshops focused on the history of food, urban gardening, and healthy eating while connecting to health and wellness resources at the Community Health Hub. We will also have a Tai Chi class, 50 Meals, sponsored by Sweetgreen, fresh produce, FLU & COVID vaccinations, wellness kits, and a garden bed raffle. FAQs What are Community Convos? Community Convos are spaces where we convene thought leaders, community organizers, activists, community leaders, and community members to discuss health topics. It is an opportunity to facilitate bidirectional informational sharing between providers/community-based organizations and community residents. What are Community Health Hubs? Community Health Hubs are health and wellness delivery centers in community-run spaces. They bring together health resources such as vaccinations, food, health insurance support, SNAP sign-up support, and alternative medicine in one place. The Community Health Hub at Town Field is Tuesdays from 4 PM to 6 PM at 1565 Dorchester Ave. Everyone who pre-registers will get an additional entry into the raffle to win garden beds. The garden beds come with fertilizer and cabbage seedlings.
