You're invited to join the Power Coalition for Equity & Justice, as we continue the fight for fair representation in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, October, 4th at 10:00 AM at the Louisiana State Capitol. The Power Coalition and our partners are continuing the fight for Redistricting in Louisiana. We are taking this flight to our state’s capital in solidarity with our partners who will be descending in Washington DC to hear The Merrill v. Milligan Supreme Court argument on the same day. Just like we did in February, we are bringing our power and our partners to BR to advocate for fair redistricting. This historic fight not only determines voting power but policies that benefit our committees. During this time we will provide an update on Redistricting and have a press conference on this important fight. We are asking you to join us to stand in solidarity with our comrades in DC and show our collective Power and demand fair representation. Transportation to Baton Rouge will be provided by bus. Shuttle service will be available from anchor cities. Anchor Cities include: Lake Charles/Lafayette, Monroe, and Shreveport. Meals will be provided however, attendees are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks for the bus trip.
