"A Chanticleer Christmas" brings with it warmth, light, familiar carols, and joy. This year's program is full of new arrangements of well-known tunes, presented with impeccable style and virtuosity by San Francisco's "Orchestra of Voices." Equally at home in the worlds of Classical, Jazz, or Pop, Chanticleer weaves back and forth between styles to present an evening of wonder and merriment. We begin by candlelight with Renaissance masterworks by Tomas Luis de Victoria and Orlando de Lassus, and conclude with a litany of crowd-pleasers, including a new jazz arrangement of "O come all ye faithful" by the GRAMMY-nominated arranger, Amanda Taylor. The evening comes to a raucous close with Joseph Jennings's classic Spirituals. We can't wait to celebrate the season with you! CHANTICLEER COVID SAFETY POLICYChanticleer is committed to the health and safety of our patrons, artists and staff. We will comply with all local, state and CDC guidelines regarding public performances and will update our policy if guidelines change. Because of Chanticleer's extensive travel schedule, all staff and volunteers will be required to wear a face mask during the time they are in the venue, including during the performance. We respectfully request all audience members to wear face masks, as well.Given these precautions, all performances will be seated at full capacity.We ask that if you have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 10 days or in the last 14 days have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 that you do not attend the performance. We also request that if you have any COVID-19 symptoms (including shortness of breath, cough, loss of smell or taste, fever), that you do not attend the performance. While Chanticleer can guarantee that all of its singers are vaccinated, and we know you will do your part by observing all protocols noted here, we recognize that none of these precautions completely eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19.
