Description

Elmwood Farm is pleased to open our “doors” and invite you to share the first of many meals at the farm. We are a non-profit urban farm and garden dedicated to engaging and empowering our community. We will share our vision for the farm as a community hub and hearth. During our dinner we will present opportunities to support us financially as we work toward our goal of cultivating personal, family, and neighborhood health. We are excited to partner with our friends at Molino Oloyo for this inaugural farm dinner. If you aren’t familiar with what these folks are doing, then we are excited to share them with you! Olivia and Jonathan are devoted to celebrating the richness and variety of heirloom (as in traditional, unadulterated, culturally-important) corn from family farms. They create endless forms of delicious meals based on the humble, beautiful masa. Friend of the farm Eve Hill-Agnus has written about them in Edible and D Magazine . Menu: Wagyu suadero taco - rosewood ranch brisket, heirloom corn tortilla, onions, cilantro, lime Tlacoyo al pastor - blackland prairie pork, charred pineapple, bayo beans, queso oaxaca Milpa Tamal - butternut squash, black beans, homemade requesón Charred okra and shishito peppers with salsa macha Vegetarian/vegan options: Mushroom Pastor Tlacoyo Sweet Potato & Charred Nopales Taco Drinks will be provided. Please send us an email if you will prefer the vegetarian/vegan option and if you have any allergies/intolerances. Can't wait to see you!
