Description

In the style of Ignite, speakers have precisely 5 minutes to amuse, educate, enlighten, or inspire the audience on the subject of their choice. The auto-advancing slides often create wacky scenarios for the speakers on stage as they speed up or slow down to keep time with the slides. Come and join the fun and support folks in your community as they challenge themselves to think out of the box and connect with their audience. Confirmed Speakers (check back often for updates): "Chronicles of a Bendy Psychonaut"—Sheila Bhardwaj "The Human Capacity for Creativity"—Jon Sung "Eclipsing Oprah's Book Club"—Melanie Vuynovich "Heaven on Earth: How to Build a Self-Improving Society"—Brigham Adams, Ph.D. "My Second Heart Beating!"—Sandhya Raman "My Life Through Slogans"—Jodi Lomask "Why Human Minds Are So Difficult to Emulate in Machines"—Anna Leshinskaya Our venue, 447 Minna, is a beautiful historic building in Soma with a black box recording theater that will host our speakers and our live audience of about 50. This will be a small, intimate event. Talks will be recorded. Doors open at 7 PM. Show starts at 7:30 PM. Get there early to participate in our interactive audience icebreaker.
