Baby BeltzAbout the bottle in this event: Baby Beltz: Ever since our first Anniversary dinner, we've been asked when we're going to make another dry berry mead. That time is upon us. Truth be told, this mead was made quite some time ago and is very special to us. It started last year just before the Sugarbelt Mead Festival when we found out that our good friends at Lost Cause was having a baby. We enquired as to what they would miss drinking the most and the response was quick: a big, bold, and dry red wine. At Sugarbelt, we presented them with a label design for Baby Beltz with an open suggestion on what we would make in honor of their new family. Baby Beltz is a dry multi-fruited mead. Blackberries, blueberries, and red raspberries, with a hint of dark cherries. To ensure that we did this dry red justice, it was aged in Bourbon Ex-Cabernet barrels for just under 1 year. Made to commemorate the birth of Wolf, the first child for Billy and Suzanna of Lost Cause Meadery in San Diego, this mead gives us flashbacks of our first big, dry mead "Dr.IHOP". A bold blend of Blackberry, Blueberry, Raspberry, with the smallest amount of cherry for balance, this mead's Orange Blossom backbone is present but lets the fruit shine. The George Dickel Ex-Cab barrels added depth of spirit and tannin, while also allowing for nuanced vinous qualities to be pulled into the mead. The nose will tell you these is residual sugar, but your palate will ask you to pair it with a fatty meat like beef or duck. To say we are proud of this mead is putting it mildly. __________________________________________________________________________________ Public Bottle Sale Details: There is a chance that there will not be a public bottle sale if OOTH members purchase all the bottles. Since we do not foresee them selling out, we are including the public bottle sale information. Public bottle sale tickets will be shown once the OOTH sale concludes and a proper bottle count is able to be given. __________________________________________________________________________________ Public Bottle Sale Information:- Tickets will go live on Saturday, 10/8 at 12pm. - 750 ml bottles are $48 each, limit one (1) per person. - This price does not include the Eventbrite tax or processing fees. - These releases will allow for "proxy" pickups. Ticket Redemption Details: Please pay attention to all the details of your purchase. There will be no exceptions. Your purchase signifies your complete understanding of the following: You must be 21 or older to purchase and redeem your tickets.The name entered as the "Ticket Buyer" must match the name on the credit card used for purchase. Conflicting orders will be canceled and flagged for future purchases.Valid government issued IDs will always be checked at time of pickup. The ID must match the name of the purchaser.Bottle Pick Up Details: The absolute FINAL day for tickets to be redeemed is at Sunday, 10/23/2022 @ 7pm. Bottles are able to be picked up at the Honey Pot Tasting Room in Anaheim for two (2) weeks from Thursday, 10/13 @ 5pm until Sunday, 10/23/2022 @ 7pm during regular Tasting Room operating hours in our tasting room. Bottles not picked up within the pick up window are forfeit.
