We are moving to New Zealand, and the very long trip plus the required quarantine would be too much for our two 9-year-old cats, Gabi and Xena. Thus we are looking for a new home where these sisters can stay together. They are neutered indoor cats with up-to-date shots.
They are bonded sisters and are often found snuggled up together sleeping or cleaning each other, and these days not as much chasing each other as when they were young. Gabi is quite partial to playing with toys with a little catnip added, while Xena prefers to carry her toys around the house. Gabi is very much a lap kitty and likes nothing more than having her tummy rubbed, while Xena prefers to assist in the office by taking over a desk and waiting for neck rubs. We are looking for a home that does not have other cats, or dogs as they have not been exposed to them and they have not grown up with children so we do not know how they would cope with little ones.
We will be packing up our apartment by Oct 30, so our hope is that we can find a home for them very soon so that they transition into their new home before we leave. There is no adoption fee, but we will be following the same vetting procedures as a pet adoption agency.
