REVILUTION is on the hunt for a bass player! We are a metal band out of Moreno Valley, CA, playing about a fifty-fifty mix of covers and originals for the purpose of playing live and trying to make a nickel. Current set list includes Mother (Danzig), Bathroom Wall (Faster Pussycat), Last Caress (Metallica), Metal Health (Quiet Riot), Shoot 'Em Down (Twisted Sister). There will be others in a similar vein, but the gist is that we aren't a typical cover band; we tend to stay away from "traditional" cover material (no Marshall Tucker, no CSNY, no Chili Peppers... you get the idea). In short, we play high-energy heavy music mostly from the 80s, and we want to be different from the other cover bands. A desirable candidate will have: ability to learn material by ear; at least two basses (for alternate tunings, like one standard, one half-step down); a rig to gig with; headphones or earbuds with 1/8" stereo connector to use with wireless monitors; reliable transportation; willingness to practice at home (I hate that I have to say that, but...); excellent work ethic; no drugs or alcohol when playing; ability to play four-hour shows; willingness to attend rehearsals twice a week. Lead vocal ability would put a contender at the top of the list.
