We have a 9 month old, male bernese mountain dog / australian shepherd mix. He is a pretty big boy at around 80lbs. He is smart and sweet but is very stubborn, destructive and leary of new people. He is difficult to control and is very strong. He has a dominant personality and gets nippy when you try to control him. He looks like a bernese but has the personality and energy level of an aussie. I would not recommend him going to a house with children. He's grown up with a small dog but has dominated it since just a couple months old. We socialized him a lot with other dogs when he was younger but he was attacked by an off-leash pit bull at the dog park and now barks like crazy at other dogs and we don't really let him get close. He barks at people too, he is a good watchdog. He is crate trained and comes with crate. I stress that he is very difficult and destructive. He is too big and loud for an apartment. He needs a home where he can run around and burn up his energy, place without kids, place where he won't get in trouble for chewing stuff up. He wants to be with his people at all times, he is not content being outside alone. Please email if interested and let me know what type of home you can provide.
