www.roablou.com Recently moved to Florida from New York City. Looking for a reliable, committed guitar player for my heavy rockabilly/punk band. Heavily styled covers with some originals. We play all of our tunes with an AC/DC, Link Wray type vibe. Gain, reverb, distortion...our meat and potatoes. We play nothing clean. All dirty, all heavy, all aggressive. Nothing too complicated. Fun songs, played fast and heavy. Mostly rockabilly, some punk tunes, all played with the same vibe. Opportunity to write original tunes, if you're a writer. I have regular gigs paid lined up in the Ft. Lauderdale area. We're 2 lead singers (me and a female lead), with me on drums and pro bass player. Very friendly-but professional-vibe. We rehearse in Fort Lauderdale every other Thursday night. Here's what we would expect: 1. First rehearsal - know (5) songs 2. Second rehearsal (2) weeks later - know (8) more songs 3. Third rehearsal (2) weeks later - know (8) more songs (for a total of 21) 4. Fourth rehearsal (2) weeks later - know (8) more songs (for a total of 29) Once we've hit these goals in (6) weeks, we will be able to gig out once per month from Hollywood-Delray Beach. We need a reliable guy - with a positive vibe - who likes to play it heavy. No egos in this band. Easy to work with. Artists covered: Reverend Horton Heat, Johnny Cash, Elvis (Sun Records era), Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Duane Eddy, Link Wray, Bo Diddley, The Cramps, Motorhead, etc. Please have audio samples available.
