My name is Randy and I'm a steel player who moved here from Nashville 8 years ago. I have 25+ years there playing for current artists like Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Gretchen Wilson, Toby Keith, LeAnn Rimes, Blake Shelton as well as Country legends like Tom T. Hall, David Frizzell, Shelley West, Pam Tillis. I'm available for both session work (in studio or via internet), television and live gigs. I'm also available to give lessons, in person or on Skype. My other instruments are electric and acoustic guitar, lap steel, dobro and banjo, all which I have played at the artist level. My goal is to help take steel to new places (Eric Clapton carried a steel player last year, as did Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Lisa Marie, etc.) but I'm open to about anything as long as it's professional. Paid rehearsals are fine, just not 2-3 free rehearsals for one $100 gig. My influences range from Paul Franklin and John Hughey (a dear friend) to Ralph Mooney and Jay Dee Maness.
