Power cord for generator

I hate to do this, but with prices the way they are its hard to go out to buy what I need. I'm a retired Veteran and I'm looking for a power cord heavy enough to handle power from a generator and long enough { about %0 yards long }. My neighbor has a big generator and she is going to let me use some of her power if power goes out. When Hurricane Irma hit we were out of power for 14 days. Lost over 700 dollars in food. If any one can help please do I have two children in the home my grandkids, so I can't go without power. Besides I'm retired so it make everything hard.
