We are seeking help for our 95 year old Mother. Location is Discovery Village in Boynton Beach, FL. We need a caring, experienced (with the elderly), patient, mentally strong individual. Preferably RNA or CNA (retired or still actively working). Mom is able to take care of herself for the most part. No toileting, bathing, dressing, etc needed. She needs someone for errands, including shopping and Drs appointments. Mom is stubborn, and needs someone who can gently help her receive assistance. For instance, she will get up on a step stool instead of asking for help. She has Life Alert for medical emergencies. She has begun to fall a bit and gets confused and is in early stages of dementia. Her daughter is her primary care-taker, but she lives out of state, so excellent communication skills are necessary. 2 days a week, 5 hours a day. Mom does have another caretaker for 3 days a week.
