Description

This event will take attendees on a tour of Wilde Lake Park. Our guide will give participants a better sense of place of the area – both current and pre-Columbia including the history of this area. Attendees will understand how this area has transformed over time. We will discuss some of the challenges we and this land face currently and in the future. We will discuss the lake, the streams, the trees, the plants, and the wildlife – both past and present. We hope to inspire one species in particular to become better stewards of the land. Ned Tillman is an earth and environmental scientist who has served the community on the HC Sustainability Board, Horizon Board, HC Conservancy and the Maryland Academy of Science. He is an award-winning author of The Chesapeake Watershed, Saving the Places we Love, and The Big Melt. A Good Endeavour is an historical Novel due out this winter.
