Join Laura Donovan of Oakland Mind & Body and Kara Kushnir, LCSW, PMH-C of A Work of Heart Counseling for a mind-body movement and mind class just for moms! Join us for 30 minutes of light yoga offering restoration and connection of mind body & spirit for mothers (expecting moms welcome!) Through guided meditation, mindful breathwork, and gentle stretching, join us for some much needed relaxation and self care. Following this portion, participants will also hear from a perinatal certified therapist (Kara) about the best ways to practice self-care for moms ranging from physical to emotional needs, and leave with your own self-care plan template and a list of amazing local resources for moms! Proceeds from this event will be donated to Postpartum Support International NJ ABOUT THE TRAINERS: Laura Donovan is a Licensed Social Worker, Registered Yoga Teacher, and Owner of Oakland Mind & Body. Providing mental health and mind-body services to individuals of all ages - OM&B offers tools to improve our mental and emotional wellbeing, in an effort to grow a happier, healthier community. Laura draws on various practices, including yoga and mindfulness, to customize an integrated approach - one that best suits the client’s needs and unique circumstances on their journey to improved wellness. Laura is a mom and resident of Bergen County. Kara Kushnir is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Owner of A Work of Heart Counseling in Allendale. Offering psychotherapy to individuals 5 and up, A Work of Heart strives to be an inclusive, strengths-based practice focusing on childhood to parenthood and beyond. Kara is perinatal mental health certified (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International (PSI) and specializes in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma. She is a mom and resident of Bergen County. This event is being hosted at Body Positive Works in Saddle River, NJ.
