Join Compass Point home of Dirty Girl Adventures for a fall hike near Lake Perry. We will hike mostly paved trail at Slough Creek Conservation Area aka The Point. We will enjoy views of Lake Perry, a variety of wildlife and the joy of being in nature. We will do a little off trail hiking ending our evening at the top of a pastured hill in order to view the sunset followed by the full moon rising. We'll share some tips for getting stronger and taking longer hikes in different places. Connecting with nature after a long day at work is the perfect wind down for our brains. We will hike over natural terrain, down hill and uphill each at our own pace. If you've been looking for some motivation to get started hiking or to spend time in nature, this is your chance! We'll send you specific directions on the 8th. We always watch the weather and conditions, often updating details for an event at the last minute to ensure safety and comfort. Meet: 5:30pm Slough Creek Conservation Area - off of Hwy 59 near Lake Perry - complete directions will be shared 2 days before the event. Hike: 5:45 until moonrise Bring/wear: water, comfortable shoes with good tread, comfortable clothes, bandana, hiking pole/s, bug spray HEADLAMP! Dirty Girl Adventures Event Refund Policy: Refunds will be issued if the request for refund is received by EMAIL no less than one week prior to the event. Dirty Girl Adventures may cancel or modify an event due to weather or conditions. Everyone will receive a refund if that is the reason for the cancellation. We paddle and hike in cool, rainy or snowy conditions. Cancellation only occurs in severe weather or other dangerous conditions. What are you paying for? It's more than a hike, it's an experience! You will meet new people, visit new places and enjoy some special opportunities to connect with nature. We will provide instruction, support, guidance and safety information before and during each event. We will be there with you for the duration of the event doing our best to help you remain comfortable and engaged in the adventure. You may have the opportunity to ride the Dirty Bus as your shuttle from one point to the other.
