We invite you to participate in the first-ever Major Taylor Trail Framework Plan community meeting. We encourage you to bring a guest and invite others to join us! The Major Taylor Trail Framework Plan led by the City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development (DPD) focuses on investments and community growth between 104th and 125th Streets around the trail. The goal of the plan is to listen to and amplify the voice of the residents and community stakeholders around the Major Taylor Trail. Earlier this month, we created a brand and comment map that you can now find on our website. A comment map that asks you for examples of places you love and more. It allows us to put your voice first without putting your name first and this will start to shape what our final framework plan looks like. If you have not voiced your opinion or want to read what others have said, we ask that you go to our comment map! The community meeting will be on Saturday, October 1st from 11 am to 12:30 pm at the West Pullman Library, 830 W 119th Street. We ask that you make plans to engage in a group conversation, small group discussions, an optional community walk, and food. Your input is invaluable to the success of this framework plan!
