Emerging alt/pop group, The Great Indoors have just released their debut single, ‘Roses’. The outfit recorded the track with Platinum Record awarded producer, Dan Dixon, at RCRD Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Dixon, who has worked as the Head Engineer of The Zac Brown Band’s Southern Ground Studio, and has released 12 full-length albums of his own with bands including NRCSST, and PLS PLS, is also listed in the co-writing credits on the track. With lyrics that tell of liberation from a toxic relationship, the song, ‘Roses’, is a glistening, and spacious listen. United Kingdom-based music blog, Various Small Flames states that Roses has, “a really compelling atmosphere here, blending retro and contemporary styles, and the vocals add an urgency we enjoyed”. The Great Indoors are a young recording group, fronted by singer-songwriters Jared Stilley and Mason Marcantel, with bassist, Carter Rucker and drummer Christian Verardi. The new group has recently started out playing a string of summer shows at venues on the east coast of the United States, as a supporting act to artists such as The Girls, who are featured in the soundtrack to Netflix’s new movie, ‘Along For The Ride’. Reviewers write that The Great Indoors “bring forth lyric-centered writing and instrumentation that pulls the listener along on a melodic ride.” “Think The Smiths, meets The 1975. Intrigued?” Sharing a new, and diverse sound, The Great Indoors are indeed set to resonate in a modern landscape.
